Slovenia, the third most thickly forested country in Europe is on its way to create a manmade island outside its seashore. The island will be 30,000 square meters or 7.4 acres that will contain beaches, bars, restaurants, a wellness center, and a marina will escort in it. Around $130 million is likely to be invested in this mega project. 30% will be invested by the government itself and rest of the money is intended to come from European Union funds and outside investors. If everything goes in a right direction then it will be made public by the end of 2020.
Slovenia boasts strong economy and tourism contributes around 5.5% in the national GDP. Now the country is planning to enhance this percentage to almost double by 2011.
Well, it’s a breathtaking effort which is really commendable and we hope that new artificial island will surely win the hearts of people.
