
Flinders Island situated in Bass Strait between Wilsons Promontory and Tasmania is the largest island in the Furneaux Group of 52 islands. There are beautiful beaches, bush walks, diving and recreational and professional fishing. Mutton birds (shearwaters) breed here each year.
This island provides a complete nature treat in terms of its amazing scenes, one can even spot rare species of birds like wallabies, wombats, echidnas, the rare Cape Barren goose, eagles, cormorants, black swans, musk ducks, masked lapwings and hooded plovers.
