The calm water conditions at Punta Cana’s 50 km coastline make for great swimming, especially for younger children, and are ideal for water sports like beach volleyball, paragliding and sailing trips. Most of the beaches offer guided instructions and other water sports ranging from learner courses for kids and advanced training for professionals. The beaches also offer golf courses, spas, tropical gardens. Some resorts have freshwater lagoons and provide facilities for guests to snorkel with sea creatures.
